Rong Mountain
From here you can see the whole panorama of Sa Pa town. Ideal for walking (2.5
hours round trip). Discover the artificial
orchid garden and enjoy the art show program of the ethnic minority groups in Sa
Pa at 10:30 am every day and at 12:30 pm every Friday and Saturday. Entrance
fee: 20,000 VND.
Banks
Travellers cheques can be changed at the main bank and advances made on Visa and
Mastercard (although charges are steep). USD cash can be changed at travel agents in town. Make sure you have changed enough
money in Hanoi
or Lao Cai.

Police Station: located
near the church.
Hospital: The
new hospital is 3km out from the town.
Pharmacy: Many in town such as on
Cau May Street, the main street.
Post Office GPO/ Telephone office: Summer 7:00-21:00 Winter
7:30-21:30.
Bus station: To
Lao Cai: Buses leaves near the church when they get full. You can also get one
along the side of the main road.
Restaurants
There are
several good places to eat in the main town. We recommend
the Camillia (just up the road from the hotel) or the
Mimosa.
For good Italian food, try the Delta located in the high
street.
Swimming
For a small fee, the Victoria Hotel allows
non residents use of their indoor swimming pool.
